I'm Alana. Welcome to Bookish!

A quick introduction on my part; I'm a lifelong bookworm, feminist, city explorer, and lover of all things spooky. I'm currently studying journalism and literature in Adelaide, Australia.

So, what is Bookish?

It's an ever-growing collection of discoveries; from book reviews, to local bookish haunts and events, to bookish lifestyle ideas.

It's an outlet for me (and a source of inspiration for you, I hope) to find magical, bookish things in everyday life - particularly in Adelaide.

Why Adelaide? Adelaide gets a bad rap. It's a beautiful city, but I've heard it called 'boring' countless times. 'Nothing happens here,' they say. 'We're at the edge of the world'. All the fun bookish stuff and creators seem to be across the ocean, a very expensive plane flight away.

So I've decided to find bookish stuff here and share it with you, to prove that Adelaide isn't boring. I'm discovering there's plenty of fun to be had here, if you look for it.

On that note, I'm off to explore, romanticise life, and get writing. There'll be some content coming very soon!
